chop house burger

There are two chop house burger joints. One in Arlington and one in Dallas. The one in Dallas is right in downtown off of akard and main. We tried the one in Dallas. You have to pay a meter to park or valet parking is available.  We walked two blocks to get to the chop house. We didn't mind.  Make sure you have change to feed the meter. The atmosphere was good. I wouldn't recommend it to a family with small kids only because I get a vibe that they cater to adults. One of the clerks was really friendly but we didn't get her we got the other person instead. Let me just say that if you want to change your order you will see eyes roll and hear sighs. We are not here to please him we are here for the burger so we picked a spot and sat down. Loved the big cow mural on the wall as you come in.

They have a special sauce called "summer black truffle sauce" I didn't care for it but heather liked it. To her it was really rich. Well I ordered bacon and I didn't get it. I was going to let it go but I payed for it so yes I went back to the counter. The burger and the fries are a good size portion. Besides getting a soft drink, wine, or beer they also have a tea called " lemon cardamom" I also didn't care for it but heather loved it that she had to get some to go. I'm just picky I stick to what I know. This is a place where you come, you eat, and you go. No staying around to conversate. I did see two readers. One had a book and one had a tablet. They also do food ordered to go.

I would like to say that i enjoyed it but I didn't. It would take some serious thinking if I happen to be down the street to try this place again.
